OUR Mission

Climate action happens in community, not in isolation. We’re here to bridge the gap between people who care.

Your 9-5 job doesn’t define your impact. We’re proof that passion projects can create real change.

Our goal at unearthD is to foster a community of engaged citizens to work together towards a more sustainable and connected Markham. By weaving environmental education into fun community events, programs, and initiatives, we want to get people to meet their neighbours and engage in climate action in a way that’s practical and meaningful to them.

Climate Action

At the core of what we do is our commitment to making sustainability a way of life! We’re passionate about spreading the word on eco-friendly practices and weaving them into everything we do. That means we’re big on conserving nature, championing recycling, and pushing for a circular economy. We’re all about cutting waste, shrinking our carbon footprint, and teaming up for projects that champion renewable resources. It’s our way of making every action count toward a greener, healthier planet!

Advocacy through education

We believe in the power of education and advocacy to create real change for our planet! Our mission is to teach communities, policymakers, and individuals about urgent environmental issues, their effects, and how we can solve them together. We’re all about spreading awareness and inspiring action because we know that when people are informed, they can make choices that truly make a difference for our beautiful Earth!

Intersectionality

We understand that environmental challenges disproportionately affect marginalized communities. By embracing intersectionality, we’re committed to addressing these interconnected issues. We strive for inclusive solutions that uplift all voices, acknowledging that a truly sustainable future must prioritize equity and justice for everyone, regardless of race, gender, or socioeconomic status. Together, we work towards a world where environmental action is inseparable from social progress, fostering a more equitable and sustainable planet for all.
